It IS indeed a very small world. Hubby and I were in Paris once and bumped into a fellow he used to work with.
That hike sounded exhausting, but worth the effort for the beauty.
I love Amelia Island! Especially the shops lining the downtown area. Looks like Buddy enjoyed his christening in the Atlantic. What a great looking dog he is.

Beautiful! The hike down -and back up- the falls path actually sounds like fun... if I had someone carry me. LOL!

Wow ... amazing pics of a wonderful time. And to quote Steven Wright: "It's a small world .. but I wouldn't want to paint it."

Such beautiful scenery....especially Amelia Island. I visted there once many years ago. It's still lovely :))

Back in my younger days, I loved to hike. We'd go up to the Smokies and hike up different trails and sit atop the mountains and dip our toes in the creeks below the waterfalls.

It's been far, far too long since I've done that....

Gosh. I think I got a little misty-eyed for a moment there!

Have a great rest of the week! It's always a pleasure catching up on what's going on in your life :)

Sara Sue

Gorgeous pics! You're so talented! I love this series!

Beautiful photos! Sounds like a great vacation, and I can relate. When my duaughter and I went to Costa Rica in 2003, we had to climb up a good way in the jungle to reach the area where they do the zip lines. I was in much better shape then than I am now, but I was gasping for air after climbing almost straight up a mountain and stairs for 45 minutes. Of course, the trip down was much easier!! and more fun too.

My goal is to see every ocean...I've only seen the Gulf of Mexico side of Florida in Destin...Loved it...Loved it...Loved it!!! Did I say I loved it??

Sandy

Oh...to be young again and to be able to hike like that would be a dream...I just need to shed about a hundred pounds.

Like I said before, you guys are just having way to much fun and I really like that you take a lot of pictures to show us.

Buffy

Love the photo of the board walk down to the water.

Janet

what beautiful pictures! And I laughed about the soldier not breaking a sweat. Buddy's adorable, he looks like he's got some shiba in him!

Oh, and hi, Michele sent me :-)
